Dr Radia is an eminent orthopaedic surgeon from Raghuvanshi Lohana Community of Gujarat. Dr. Radia is born on 18th November, 1963 in Mozambique on the east coast of Africa. Lived his teens as a Citizen of Portugal till 1978. Later on for further studies, he migrated to India. As the name hints he is related to three continents of world.

Since his father Prabhudasbhai was compelled to join business and therefore, accorded liberty to his son Nitinbhai  to pursue the study of medicines and surgery.

Dr Radia’s Education journey is very meritorious and can be narrated as under:
•    His schooling was from Convent Education from Fatima Convent High School, Bhavanagar;
•    He had a short but pleasant and successful journey on the path of Arts by passing with distinction;
•    Was within 1st 100 in merit list of science stream.
•    In 1986, he passed out his M.B.B.S. from centenary old reputed  Institute B.J.Medical Collage (Gujarat University) with Distinction & stood 2nd in University
•    In1991 passed M.S. (Orthopaedics) from B.J. medical College affiliated to Gujarat University. Here also he stood ‘First’  in university. A remarkable feat by Dr Radia.

His family migrated to India as refugees .It is his relentless determination  only  which has enabled him to surmount grave challenges which he confronted during his student life, personal life and in his profession. His journey has by no means been easy.

Professional Career of Dr Radia is very interesting and noteworthy:
1.    After passing out his M.S. Orthopaedics in 1991, he started his professional career as Orthopaedic Surgeon at G.T. Sheth Orthopaedic Hospital, Rajkot.
2.    He is the pioneer and one of the founder of Orthopaedic Department in N.M. Virani General Hospital (Now taken over by Wockhardt) and associated with them professionally heading the department for a long period of 13 years between 1993 to 2006.
3.    During his Professional career, Dr Radia has successfully handled cases of ‘Trauma’;  ‘Serious accidental injuries’ and developed his skill and forte in the fields of ‘Joint replacements’ ; ‘Polio & Spine Surgery’; ‘ Re implantation of amputated human limbs’.
4.    Single handedly operated more than hundred patients during 2001 Earth quake in Gujarat.

Dr Radia is associated with many reputed National and International organizations. Presently, he is a Member of:
1. Gujarat Medical Association & Indian medical Association;
2. Gujarat Orthopaedic Association & Indian Orthopaedic Surgeons’ Association
3. Hon. Consultant - Orthopaedic surgeon in Jalaram Hospital,  Rajkot
4. Hon. Consultant in N.M Virani Wockhardt Hospital, Rajkot
5. Hon. Consultant in Sterling Hospital , Rajkot
6. Hon. Consultant in Sadhbhavna Trust Hospital, Rajkot

As regards Social involvement is concerned, following details evident his dedication:
•    He is Vice-president of Lohana Yuvak Pragati Mandal, Rajkot for last10 years. He has successfully started a scheme of medical help to the poor & needy Lohana patients of Rajkot where poor patients gets free medicines prescribed to them by their family physicians;
•    He himself has organized more than 50 blood donation camp & personally donated blood more than 25 times.
•    He is a Medical Advisor in Raghuvir Health & Charitable Trust , Rajkot which helps poor patients who has to undergo surgeries.
•    He is the member of Executive Committee of Shree Lohana Mahajan, Rajkot;
•    He is an Hon. Medical advisor in Sadhbhavana Charitable Trust Hospital working with Sri Satish Tanna  for starting Dialysis Centre at most affordable price of Rs. 350/-  including medicines ;
•    Ex- Secretary of Raghuvanshi Professional group (Medical group) , Saurashtra &Kutch unit
•    He is Vice- president of Raghuvanshi Professional group (Medical group), Rajkot;
•    He is recently appointed as Director in R.C.C. bank
•    He was the member of Executive Committee & Chairman of Health Committee of Lohana Mahaparishad for the last 5 years under the leadership of Hon. Mr. Jayantibhai  Kundalia.

Present President Sri Yogeshbhai Lakhani has reposed his faith in the abilities, skill and efficiency of Dr Radia and has re-appointed him once again as the Chairman of Health Committee.

He believes his perseverance is rooted in those years where he and his family first learned the importance of falling and getting right back up.

He equates much of his career path to walking on the balance beam, having gracefully  stood up to demonstrate a determination and asks  fellow professional Raghuvanshis to give part of their time/wealth and knowledge for the up liftment of Raghuvanshi community as a whole.
